Requirements for layouts

Requirements for accepted files

for digital printing

1. Only PDF files without additional cut marks and scales are accepted for printing.

2. Colour profiles (if detected) are disabled.

3. The layout must contain Bleeds of at least 2 mm for single products and at least 3 mm for multi-page publications.

4. A multi-page publication (8 or more pages) that has a cover with a paper thickness different from the block must be submitted in two files: the block (page by page) and the cover. A cover for "glue" is submitted with the spine facing out. A hardcover cover should be submitted only after a preliminary calculation of the dimensions by the responsible manager of the company.

5. Files for printing should be prepared in the CMYK or Grayscale colour model. PANTONE colours (hereinafter referred to as Spot) are allowed in layouts only if they are used in printing or for embossing or embossing. Examples of Spot Colour applications include selective varnish and white. The spot colour for selective varnish should be called Clear, and the spot colour for white should be called White. If you are using a spot colour in your layout, it must be in its proper place in the layout and the Overprint option must be turned on. If embossing or embossing varnish is used in the layout, it must be located in the layout in the place where it is planned to be produced. The embossing or embossing must be marked with separate Spot colours (for example, Kongrev, Tisnenie) and the Overprint option must be enabled.

6. The ink limit in raster images, vector objects, and during their overlay (transparency or overprint) should not exceed 300%.

Die-cutting

When manufacturing products that include die-cutting operations (POS, packaging, etc.), overhangs should be no less than 3 mm.

- Die-cutting must be in vector form without filling with a contour thickness of 1-2pt and coloured with a separate Spot colour (CUT) with the Overprint option enabled (for the contour).

- The places of the runners should be in vector form without filling with a contour thickness of 1-2pt and coloured with a separate Spot colour (BIG) with the Overprint option enabled (for the contour).

- Perforations are coloured with a separate Spot colour (Perforation).

- The die cut should be on top of the layout. The size of the document must be equal to the size of the die cut.

Plotter and laser cutting

- Plotter and laser cutting is performed using a vector path coloured with a separate Spot colour (CUT) with the Overprint option enabled (for the path).

- The document size is determined by the height and width of the cut (this does not apply to cases where additional cutting to the specified format is performed after plotter cutting).

- In cases where the customer prepares the layout for plotter cutting by themselves, the layout should not exceed the size of 300x425.

- The same type of cutting on several sheets must be brought to the same type (i.e. 1 knife for all sheets, and it is located in the same place on all sheets).

Plastic cards

The basic requirements for layouts do not differ from those described above. However, there are a few things to consider.

1. The finished size of plastic cards is 86x54 mm. Pre-cut size 90x58 mm (horizontal orientation only).

2. Different types of cards shall be submitted in separate files (it is allowed to submit the front and back in one or different files).

Information on submitting files with variable data

(barcode, personalisation, photo, etc.)

1.         Files with additional information for variable data layout are accepted only in Excel. The file name must not contain Cyrillic characters. In an Excel file, the cells must be formatted in text format.

2.         Column = variable

3.         Row = one product
